WAX + SHAVE
Waxing and shaving should be completed at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan appointment. We want to give your pores time to close before tanning.
EXFOLIATE
Exfoliation is key. Exfoliate very well and do not use anything that will leave residue such as soap and/or oil based scrubs. We want your skin as bare as possible. An exfoliating mitt is what I highly recommend.
NO BARRIERS
Like I said, we want your skin bare! This way the solution can develop properly. So no lotion, oils, deodorant, perfume, or make up after exfoliation and prior to your appointment.
DRESSCODE
During the tan you are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable with! From your birthday suit to a bathing suit! I also have tanning panties available for purchase. Please make sure to bring dark, loose, comfy, non-restrictive clothing, and sandals for afterward! *Men must wear undergarments during session.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Tanning should always be the last beauty treatment. Think of it as the finishing touch! This includes facials, massages, waxing, manis & pedis etc!
STAY DRY
After application of the spray tan, do not get wet or sweat! No working out, kisses from your pup, doing the dishes, & no lotions, oils, makeup, perfumes etc on your skin before your initial rinse.
HANDS OFF
No touching your skin while your tan is developing! If you are going to sleep in the tan before your initial rinse, wear loose, baggie pajama pants and a big t shirt to prevent stain palms!
DEVELOPMENT
Let your tan develop for 5-8 hours. 5/6 hours for a light glow, 7 hours for a medium tan, and 8+ hours for dark color. The longer you let your tan develop, the darker it will be and longer it will last.
INITIAL RINSE
Rinse with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Use your hands to guide the bronzer off of your skin. No soap, no sponges, loofahs, wash rags, etc
AFTER INITAL RINSE
Life can resume as normal! Apply a high quality lotion regularly to ensure the longevity of your tan. Stay hydrated! Avoid soaking in water for long periods of time.
